CinEd - European Cinema Education for Youth
Programme for film educational screenings and activities both in and outside school.
“CinEd – European Film Education Youth” is an European programme for cooperation, dedicated to education in and through the art of cinema. Its primary goal is to enable as many young people across Europe, aged 6 to 19, to gain access to and explore the richness and diversity of European cinema, fostering their ability to watch and listen, compare, and make connections between images.
CinEd aims to provide meaningful access to a curated collection of films, offering young people the opportunity to experience cultural and linguistic diversity while equipping them with tools to develop critical thinking and a deeper understanding of cinematic language.
The mission of CinEd is to continually seek and expand its network with new beneficiaries, connections, and partnerships from various countries each year. This effort enhances and grows its collection of European films, accessible through a digital and multilingual platform. These initiatives not only improve access to quality cinema and increase its reach to a growing number of young people but also establish CinEd as an indispensable long-term partner for educators who wish to offer something innovative and impactful to their students.
CinEd is designed for a wide range of participants: teachers of all levels and subjects, cultural mediators, and professionals in the cinema and audiovisual sectors who are motivated to contribute to the development of European culture and implement their film education projects both inside and outside the classroom.
